History of the Church
The church commenced in the 1970s and appointed its first minister in 1980. It is affiliated to the fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches - a national Christian Fellowship consisting of approximately 500 churches. The church continued to grow and move to its present location, Old Town Lane, in 1985. The main building was completed in 1996 and consists of a main worship area seating 300 people.
Who are we ?
We are a cross-section of the people in Pelsall and the neighbouring districts. Ordinary folk - who have come together to share our faith in the LORD JESUS CHRIST.
What do we do
There are many services and activities held each week and the purpose of the web site is to introduce them to you. It is a privilege to meet together for worship and fellowship and we trust you will be encouraged to visit us. We want to assure you of a sincere welcome and we know you will find Christian love, respect and spiritual help. We look forward to meeting you.
Sunday Services
What happens when visitors come to our services on Sunday ?
Well, they are stared at ! Ostracized ! Preached at ! And generally made to feel uncomfortable !!!!
Well, that`s often what people think may happen. Please be assured it`s not true. We recognize that the first visit to a church is often the most difficult for people, but we have new people coming regularly - and they usually come again !
So, after all that, what can you expect ? - You will be welcomed at the door.
- You will escorted to a seat if you wish (don't be afraid of sitting in someone's place - there are no reserved seats).
- Everything in the service will be explained, you won't be embarrassed.
- The service will last about 75 minutes.
- It will consist of :- - Lively hymns of praise and worship. - Prayer and Bible readings. - A children's talk. - A message from God's Word related to everyday life and the Christian Faith. - A crèche is available during the morning service, so please bring the kids!!
