Our mission is to Glorify God in three key ways:
Faithfulness to God’s Word
Care for one another
Growth through making disciples
Our vision for our building is to develop a space where our community can come together - a space that demonstrates generosity, diversity, care, acceptance and love. Every person accessing this space needs to walk away with a sense of peace and purpose.
As a result of the building development, we would like to expand the services we currently run, as well as offering additional activities, groups and events. This would provide us with the opportunity to ensure we are meeting the needs of the local community.
The additional space created in our main hall will allow our Sunday morning services to expand as they are approaching full capacity. There will be additional space after our services for people to have fellowship with each other in a comfortable environment and there will be additional space for our Sunday school children to meet. The new café area will allow us to run the family-friendly café as a not-for-profit enterprise, opening it up to the community 5-6 days a week.
Opening the building for additional meeting through the week will enable us to reach a wider group of the community each week. This will bring significant benefits in terms of reducing loneliness and connecting people to the services they may need. The services will provide better social support, improved skills and confidence, and better support for young families and young people. Whilst catering for the needs of specific age groups, we will aim to maintain a truly inter-generational ethos and approach which will benefit health, wellbeing and social cohesion. This will be measured through regular service user questionnaires and feedback sessions.
